How minutes work
Four rules, and they are the same on every plan.
A minute is a minute of talking
Rooms counts the time a person spends in conversation with your interviewer and rounds each conversation up to a whole minute. Setting up, editing and reading results cost nothing.
Nothing is taken that is not used
When a conversation starts, Rooms holds back enough minutes to cover the longest the room can run. Whatever the conversation does not use goes straight back to your balance.
Testing costs half
Open your own room to try the interviewer and it costs half the standard rate, without using one of the room's conversation slots.
One balance for the account
Minutes belong to your account, not to one workspace. Every workspace spends from the same balance, and the statement shows where each minute went.

Questions about paying

What happens to minutes I do not use?
Monthly minutes expire on your renewal date and the new month's allowance arrives. The 45 minutes you get at sign-up and any top-up minutes never expire while your account is open.
What happens when my minutes run out?
Your rooms pause. Their join page says the room is closed and asks people to try again later; it never mentions billing. Buy a top-up or wait for your renewal and the rooms open again by themselves.
Can I change plan later?
Yes. An upgrade takes effect today and the bigger allowance arrives at once, with your remaining minutes added on top. A downgrade or a cancellation waits until the end of the period you have paid for.
Is there a contract?
No. Monthly plans run month to month and you can cancel from the studio at any time. A yearly plan is paid for the year up front and runs until that year ends.
