Terms of service
These terms apply when you create a Rooms account or use the studio. If you were invited to a conversation as a participant, the page that matters to you is how we handle your data. Last updated 4 September 2026.
Who we are
Rooms is built and operated by Enjoy Development, based in the United Kingdom. When these terms say we, us or Rooms, that means Enjoy Development. When they say you, that means the person or organisation holding the account.
What Rooms is
Rooms lets you set up an AI interviewer, share a link, and read the transcript and answers when someone has talked to it. We host the service, run the conversations through our speech and language providers, and keep the results in your workspace for you to use.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older and give us accurate details when you sign up.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in details private. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- Each person may hold one free account. Creating more accounts to collect more free minutes is not allowed, and we may remove the extra ones.
How you may use it
When you run conversations through Rooms you agree to the following.
- Tell participants clearly that they are talking to an AI interviewer, what the conversation is for, and who will see the results. Get any consent your research or your organisation requires.
- Only collect what you need. Do not use Rooms to gather sensitive personal data, such as health or financial details, unless you have a lawful basis and have told us.
- Do not use Rooms to harass, deceive or harm anyone, to break the law, to send unsolicited messages, or to build an interviewer that pretends to be a real person or organisation it is not.
- Do not try to get round usage limits, probe or overload the service, or resell access without our written agreement.
If a conversation or an account breaks these rules we may pause it, and in serious cases close the account. We will tell you why.
Your content and data
- Transcripts, answers, interview plans and anything else you put into Rooms belong to you.
- You give us permission to store and process that content so we can run the service for you, and for nothing else. We do not sell it and do not use it to train AI models.
- You are the data controller for your participants' data. We process it on your instructions. A data processing agreement is available on request for paid plans.
- Transcripts and answers are stored in London, United Kingdom. Live audio passes through media servers in Frankfurt, Germany, and transiently through our speech and language providers.
- When you delete a workspace or close your account, we delete its content within 30 days, apart from what we must keep for tax, fraud or legal reasons.
Our data page explains what we store and where in more detail.
Plans, minutes and payment
- Plans are measured in minutes of conversation. Each conversation is rounded up to a whole minute. Test runs cost half the standard rate, with the final charge rounded up to a whole minute. Recorded pauses and service interruptions are excluded. A conversation with no billable time costs nothing.
- The free plan includes a fixed number of minutes to try Rooms with. They do not renew and cannot be bought separately.
- Paid plans renew monthly or yearly and include a monthly allowance of minutes. Unused allowance does not carry over.
- Extra minutes can be bought as top-ups at the price shown for your plan. Top-ups do not expire and are not refundable once bought.
- Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT. We may change prices for a future billing period with at least 30 days' notice; existing paid customers keep the price they signed up at on their current plan.
- If a payment fails we will let you know and try again. While it stays unpaid, new conversations pause. Your data stays where it is.
- You can cancel at any time from the studio. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for and then moves to the free plan.
What we promise, and what we do not
We work to keep Rooms available and accurate, and we will tell you about planned downtime where we can. Rooms is a new product and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of faults. AI interviewers can make mistakes; you are responsible for checking the results before you rely on them.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost data you have not backed up, or business interruption. Our total liability to you in any twelve month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time. We can close it if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering Rooms, in which case we will give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your content.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. We will show the date at the top and email account owners about anything material at least 14 days before it takes effect. Using Rooms after that date means you accept the new terms.
The legal bit
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If one part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
